Why do we need free trade with the EU?

The Association Agreement undoubtedly marks a new, higher qualitative level in the bilateral relations between our country and the European Union. It will allow the European market to open up more widely to Moldovan products, will entail a broad process of modernising state institutions and, eventually, will help improve the population's well-being. A central provision of the Agreement is the creation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with the EU, which entails the mutual elimination of barriers to bilateral trade. This infographic analyses how the provisions of the DCFTA will contribute to the growth of Moldovan exports and debunks a number of myths related to this subject. The infographic was developed on the basis of the analytical note “Why do we need the liberalisation of trade with the EU? (Analytical Note #1)” .
