Who Cares About Illegally Occupied Municipal Land?

Land is one of the most important development resources of Chișinău municipality. Unfortunately, the way land is managed does not ensure that it is used in the best way to meet the development needs of Chișinău municipality. The subject of this infographic is land illegally occupied in 2010-2014 by those who can and by those who know how the system works. Thus, in 2010-2014 around 300 hectares of municipal land were illegally occupied, and the municipal budget suffered losses of at least MDL 500 million as a result of the abusive occupation of land.
