The State Chancellery in Figures

In the Republic of Moldova, the State Chancellery is the public authority acting as the “Centre of the Government” in organising the work of the Executive. It oversees 17 state organisations, institutions and enterprises. For an overview of the annual budgets managed by the State Chancellery, see the Infographic below. The Infographic refers to the Analytical Note on the expenditure incurred by the State Chancellery, written by Ion Gumene – Programme Director “Public Policies and Public Administration Reform”, at the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”. Note: The study was carried out in 2016, based on the information available for the period 2008-2015. The reduction of the staffing limit of the central apparatus of the State Chancellery from 239 to 171 positions, carried out in November 2016 by Government Decision No. 1183 of 26 October 2016, does not affect the conclusions and recommendations of the study, in particular for the subordinate institutions.
