The Opportunities of European Standards and the Fate of GOST Standards

European standards are technical requirements, adopted by European standardisation bodies, aimed at protecting human life and health and the environment, and are also used to remove technical barriers to international trade. Their adoption in the Republic of Moldova will bring local consumers safer and higher-quality products, as well as Moldovan products that comply with the requirements of European legislation. The infographic was produced on the basis of the Policy Brief “The Opportunities of European Standards and the Fate of GOST Standards”  and of the study “The Adoption of European Standards and the Situation in the Agri-Food Sector: Challenges and Opportunities” , developed by Expert-Grup and funded by the Soros Foundation Moldova/Good Governance Programme.
