How can fair tariffs help strengthen energy security?

Despite the positive changes in energy legislation in recent years, additional efforts are needed to improve the tariff policy for electricity and natural gas. Both energy sector actors and civil society representatives consider that the tariff-setting mechanism and the criteria applied to suppliers must be adjusted, and that genuine decision-making independence of the sector regulator from political factors must be ensured.
