Closing Event of the Project “Support for Labour Market Reform”

The event will provide an opportunity to present and discuss the main results achieved under the project, as well as its contribution to supporting labour market reforms and policies in the Republic of Moldova.

The event will also include a panel discussion on aligning labour market employment policies with policies that stimulate economic growth. The discussions will address the new employment programme, the measures needed to stimulate labour demand, the transition to better-paid and formal jobs, and solutions for reducing inactivity and the labour shortage.

The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation, the National Employment Agency, the State Labour Inspectorate, the International Labour Organization, the Soros Foundation Moldova and the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”.

The event will thus also serve as a discussion platform on the priorities for the coming period and on how employment and economic policies can work together towards a more dynamic labour market and the creation of more productive and better-paid jobs.
