Schools Selected as Beneficiaries of the “My School” Project

The selected schools will organise community events to discuss their budgets and development priorities, including public hearings and questionnaires assessing the quality of education, called “Reporting Cards for education stakeholders”.

Each school will set up a “local coalition” to pilot the Administrative Boards envisaged in the draft Education Code. It will include the director, deputy directors, one local authority representative, three parents, two teachers, one civil society representative, one business representative and one pupil; other community stakeholders may also join. The schools are located in Cahul, Florești, Hâncești, Râșcani, Sângerei, Soroca and Ungheni districts and in Chișinău. The project is financed by the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability and aims to empower citizens to contribute to education reform.
