Online workshop for representatives of state institutions: "Countering disinformation in Moldova"

This online event will take place on May 17, 12.00-14.30 (GMT+3). It is part of a series of six workshops where specialized experts from Moldova, Lithuania, and EU agencies will share their knowledge with journalists, stakeholders, and the expert community on the “Platform for Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.”

• The first online workshop will consist of a presentation on the research of disinformation in the public space and the organization of educational media literacy campaigns. Additionally, a case study on Lithuania's comprehensive approach to counter disinformation and propaganda will be presented. 
• During the event, Moldovan state institution representatives will have the opportunity to interact with Dr. Nerijus Maliukevičius, a lecturer and research fellow at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University as well as Mr. Viktoras Daukšas, Head of Debunk.org - Disinformation Analysis Center.
• The workshop discussion will take place in English.

Project Details:

The online workshops are part of the project titled “Building Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.” The project runs from September 2023 to December 2024 and is implemented by “Expert-Grup” in partnership with the Eastern Europe Studies Centre in Vilnius, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
