Online workshop no. 4 for journalists ”Countering disinformation in Moldova”

The Independent think tank Eastern Europe Studies Centre, in collaboration with “Expert-Grup,” is pleased to invite Moldovan journalists to participate in an online workshop dedicated to the topic of combating disinformation in Moldova as part of the project “Building Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.”
This online event will take place on June 21st, 12.00-14.30 (GMT+3). It is part of a series of six workshops where specialized experts from Moldova, Lithuania, and EU agencies will share their knowledge with journalists, stakeholders, and the expert community on the “Platform for Strategic Communication to Counter Russian Disinformation in Moldova.”
- The fourth online workshop will explore current disinformation trends, with specific examples provided to illustrate these dynamics. Additionally, the effective methods, tools, and mechanisms applied in Lithuania will be discussed, offering these as best practices for Moldovan journalists to adopt in combating disinformation. Furthermore, a presentation on the research of disinformation in the public space and the organization of educational media literacy campaigns will be presented.
- During the event, Moldovan journalists will have the opportunity to interact with Ms. Indrė Makaraitytė, Editor of the Lithuanian National Radio and Television Investigations Department, as well as Mr. Viktoras Daukšas, Head of Debunk.org - Disinformation Analysis Center.
- The workshop discussion will take place in English.
