The Independent Think-Tank Expert-Grup, as lead partner, in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), the Institutum Virtutes Civilis (IVC), and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation organizes the launch event of the Shadow Report no. 2 ”Evaluation of the progress of the Republic of Moldova in implementing the recommendations of the European Commission regarding the "Fundamentals" Cluster in the context of accession to the European Union”, which will take place on July 29

The launch event aims to present the main findings and recommendations of the report, which analyzes how Moldovan authorities have implemented the European Commission’s recommendations under the chapters of the “Fundamentals” cluster within the EU accession process.

The purpose of the report is to assess the progress and dynamics of the reforms undertaken by the Moldovan government in implementing the fundamental chapters of the accession process.  It also seeks to contribute to the drafting ofthe European Commission’s first Enlargement Report for the Republic of Moldova, which is expected to be published in the autumn of this year. The monitoring period covered by the report spans from 1 July 2024 to 31 May 2025. The event will also serve as a platform to discuss the important role civil society can play in supporting and promoting the European integration agenda.

The event will be attended by high level public authorities, policymakers, the donor community, civil society organizations, opinion leaders, academia, and mass media. To reach a wider audience, the public event will also be broadcast online. For more details, please see the attached agenda.
