POSTPONED. 2020 Annual Forum on Budgetary Participation “Inform, Empower and Act!”

Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the COVID-19, we are sorry to inform you that the 2020 Annual Forum on Participatory Budgeting, scheduled for April 2, 2020 is currently postponed.
The date of the event will be announced later.
The Independent Think-Tank Center "Expert-Grup", in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Eastern European Studies Center (EESC, Lithuania) are organizing the 2020 Annual Forum on Budgetary Participation “Inform, Empower, Act!”.
The Forum will provide for a high-level policy discussion platform on the principles of participatory budgeting at central and local level in the Republic of Moldova. The event will bring together representatives of local public authorities, governmental decision-makers, development partners, representatives of civil society and academia, as well as international experts in particular from Central and Eastern Europe, who will share their experience in the implementation of various tools of budgetary participation.
The Agenda of the Forum will include two panels. The first, will focus on the importance of promoting transparency of the budgetary process, as well as the strategic vision regarding participatory budgeting at central and local level. The second session will refer to the recent trends in the region and practical approaches in the implementation of the budgetary participation in the Republic of Moldova. The Forum discussions will facilitate the formulation of policy recommendations on promoting various tools and approaches of budgetary participation. The detailed concept and the agenda of the Forum are enclosed.
The event will take place on April 2, 2020, starting at 9:00 am, at the ”ARTCOR” Creative Industries Center.

The event is organised within the project “Inform, Empower, Act. Civil Society for good budgetary governance in Moldova” funded by the European Union and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and implemented by the Independent Analytical Center “Expert-Grup” as lead applicant, the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) and the Eastern European Studies Centre (EESC) from Vilnius, Lithuania.
