Supporting the dialogue for economic policies through analysis and independent forecast

Implementation period: December 2013 – November 2014

Project goal: The project will aim to recommend improvements for those economic policies that affect Republic of Moldova by publishing related publications.

Main activities:

• Launching an innovative product: Transnistrian Regional Economic Review;
• Organizing public events that will alert public authorities and the general public about the related risks and opportunities economic processes hold  and political decision targeted to  them;

Main outputs and outcomes:

• Regulation acts/policies that will be based on the analytical products developed within this project;
• At least two comprehensive analyses about two severe issues, with a significant social and political impact;
• A new product  that will review the Transnistrian economy, their economic trends and the events in the regions with an impact on Moldovan and regional  economy and society;
• at least two sets of recommendations for policies with an important impact on economy and society of Moldova and the region;
• Mass-media products that will promote the provisions of the Transnistrian economic review.

Project impact:

On medium term, this project will contribute to:

• A more open and inclusive participation framework in the process of developing and monitoring the economic policies;
• Creating a clearer picture for the citizens towards the Transnistrian region’ economy;
• A better understanding of the context of the economic evolutions by non-specialists.
