Strengthening the Monitoring Capacity of Civil Society in Moldova

Donor: National Endowment for Democracy.

Project duration: February 2022- January 2024.

 Project Objective: To support civil society to effectively monitor government performance.

Project activities:

• Develop and publish a study on the evaluation of the SME sector in order to identify the main legal and institutional loopholes that lead to mismanagement and corruption risks;
• Create a consistent analytical framework for monitoring the reforms in the mentioned sectors and spotting and preventing corruption risks;
• Conduct training for the representatives of independent CSOs and media, based on toolkits and policy mentioned above;
• Develop joint analytical reports and journalistic investigations, based on toolkits and training mentioned above on the following areas: public finances and procurements, economic policies and business regulatory framework; public propriety and state owned enterprises.
