Residents of Leova say they want better-kept courtyards and more comfortable public spaces for the community. Thanks to municipal bonds, a new financing mechanism used by the town hall, infrastructure works worth MDL 9 million will be carried out in the town. Municipal bonds do not only bring money into the town hall's budget, but also give residents the opportunity to invest their savings. The money invested by citizens contributes to the development of the town and to the delivery of projects for the community.
The issue of municipal bonds takes place under the project “Strengthening the Resilience Capacity of Local Public Authorities”, implemented by the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova.
