Study presentation: Expanding the Iași-Ungheni pipeline to Chișinău: opportunities and challenges

The study aims to evaluate the opportunities and challenges of expanding the Iași-Ungheni pipeline towards Chișinău. It describes the general situation of the gas industry in the country and analyzes the legal, (geo)political, economic and technical facets related to connecting Chișinău to the Iași-Ungheni pipeline. Therefore, the study presents recommendations on the measures that shall be undertaken by the Moldovan, Romanian and EU authorities in order to successfully implement the pipeline extension to Chișinău. 

The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Netherlands, through the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Bucharest, Romania.
