Independent Think-Tank ”Expert-Grup” invites all those interested to the XXth edition of the conference MEGA “Economic challenges following political turbulence”. The event will take place on July 25, 2019, starting at 10.00 am, at the Jolly Alon Hotel, ”Marmura” Conference Hall. Preliminary agenda is enclosed.

Expert-Grup will present the findings of the anniversary edition of the Moldova Economic Growth Analysis (MEGA), which analyzes the key macroeconomic and sector-level trends in 2018 and provides forecasts for key economic indicators for 2019-2020.

Key questions of this edition are:

1. What are Expert-Grup's forecasts for the economic growth in 2019-2020?
2. What are the economic policy challenges, especially for public finances, in the current context?
3. What was the impact of tax reform on income, employment and investment?
4. Why did the National Bank of Moldova increase the base rate?

High-level representatives of central public authorities, diplomatic missions, donor community and experts will attend the event to discuss the most important developments and prominent economic risks Moldova will face in the short and medium-term.

The event will be held in Romanian and English. Simultaneous translation/interpretation will be provided.
